We live and work in the mountains and we witness daily a major transformation. Climate disruption is upon us all. Mountain territories are on the front line and must prepare for a significant change of model. These changes represent a real challenge for public, economic and associative actors.

It is a challenge we must collectively meet by acting on our models, our professions and sometimes even our personal lives. Very often the starting point for these actions is the adoption of a new collective narrative — beyond mere observations, by sharing knowledge and initiatives taken in the field, evaluating avenues and identifying obstacles, Mountain Change Makers enables this movement.

Mountain Change Makers, Mountain Change Makers is the choice to bring together a broad collective of economic actors, associations, local authorities and qualified individuals to understand, imagine, inspire and act together for the future of the mountain. The choice to highlight those who have decided to be agents and to act every day in their own way for the mountain. The choice to share their inspiring experiences in the mountain, that formidable laboratory of the world to come.

A collective that develops along two pillars: an action laboratory (think tank) and a digital media.

An ideas and action laboratory to identify avenues, to evolve our economic and tourism models within planetary boundaries, to push lines towards more local life and towards governance adapted to territories.

A media to make the choice of speech. Speech to inspire, to motivate, to bring together and create a dynamic of action. To share with all generations, so as not to give up in the face of battles ahead — so that everyone can in turn become ‘Mountain Change Makers’ and create a broad community acting for the mountain, this 21st century refuge.
